Once upon a time…<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dumb luck! Here I go, like any other person, on a short\nvacation in Florence<\/strong> and, what do\nyou know? I get there on the very period they were having the world premiere of\nthe movie INFERNO<\/strong> with Tom Hanks<\/strong>. With great fuss, right here,\nin Florence!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ioana, a former university colleague and, for some years\nalready, a resident of Florence, keeps me posted with all the details and she\nassures me that she will take me by car to the place of the event, just to see\nwhat’s going on there\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would never have got to the place and we would have spent\nhours and hours, just us, alone, in a car stuck in mud on a hill in Tuscany,\n“surviving” with some wine and oil I had just bought, had a tractor\ndriven not passed by. Long live the tractor drivers!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming back to Inferno. I have not read the book, I have not\neven watched the movies made after the books written by Dan Brown, but so what?\nCan’t I go there and watch together with the crowd?…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remind you that I was in Florence as a tourist, not as a\njournalist, or a special correspondent. So don’t judge me and don’t laugh at me\nfor what happened there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INFERNO PREMIERE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ioana leaves me there. With my journalist passing card, I\ntell the guards that I am a journalist on vacation and that I just want to take\nsome photos. I have no accreditation. To my surprise, the carabinieri, very\nnice people, let me in, but they thoroughly check my bag. And they take out\nwine and oil, and then some more wine and oil\u2026 J They tell me I am not allowed with\nanything like that. What can I do with them, man? A committee of the police and\nthe security analyzes the situation and the bag. They decide to very politely\nrefuse me. I am not allowed in with bottles. So, bye-bye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank God Ioana has not left yet, so I leave my Tuscany\nharvest in her car. I pass the security check and I am checked like on an\nairport. I am “clean”, so I go down the alley full of enthusiasm. I\nspeak to a guard who is very amused about the way I came there with a tourist’s\ncamera. And, to my complete surprise, he sends me to the best place. Not the\none for photographers, but the one for reporters and interview operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right\u2026 I get real in an instant and I start asking myself\nwhat on Earth am I doing here with my mobile phone and a tourist camera. J<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have no idea how long I will have to wait or even if I\nhave the patience to wait for the celebrities for some hours, most probably\u2026 I\nstart posting like crazy everything I see and I start inspecting the place. It\nis full of police, security and workers. A drone keeps buzzing over our heads,\na sign that it is either filming or supervising. A diva in a red dress appears\non the carpet, with a princess attitude. She is a Russian journalist I am told.\nAround me, there are only Italian journalists from publications\/TV channels\/online\nchannels I have never heard about. Many start \nreporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
