I pretty much don’t know\nthe Danube Delta. I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I got here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first time, when I\nwas 9 years old. For the film “The Meeting”, directed by Sergiu\nNicolaescu. I have no idea what arm I was on. All I know is that I filmed in a\nbar J.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years later, I hosted a\nshow in Sulina, starring the band ASIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some time ago I returned\nto Delta in a teambuilding, with the Next Star team from Antena 1 television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now, in the summer\nof 2020, I came here again, with work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I told you, one hand is\nenough in counting my visits to the Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SFANTU GHEORGHE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the luxury of accommodation, beyond the smell of the sea (here we go, I am in a poetry mood), beyond the landscapes perfect for a photographic exhibition, in Sfantu Gheorghe I fell in love with\u2026 a village street!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s quite a sensation,\nman, to cross the village on a fine sand street, a sand worthy of a rich Mamaia\nbeach\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the side streets\nalso reveal their unaltered charm. (That’s if you ignore the small sidewalk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I keep thinking what a\nhappy childhood the children here had and still have. All they need is buckets,\nshovels and sand molds to make some beautiful, inedible cakes J.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW TO GET TO SFANTU GHEORGE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Access to the town is\nonly on water. That’s how our gang from work arrived here, taking the motor\nboats from Murighiol<\/strong>, where we\nabandoned our cars in a parking lot that cost us 20 lei a day (~4 euros).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It took us about 50\nminutes to get here, on the fast route, a first contact with Delta, on wide\nchannels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of transportation:\nwhile I was in Sfantu Gheorghe, I don’t think I saw more than 3 cars on the\nstreets. I was told that the cars are brought by boat, ferry or as it is called\nhere\u2026 wait, I found out: it is called a\nbarge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT TO DO IN SFANTU GHEORGHE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Definitely, you can fish<\/strong>. If you do not come with your\nclever tools, you can rent some from here. And, if you don’t want worms and\nother creatures to stick in the hook, take in a napkin the polenta they brought\ntogether with your fish brine for dinner\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can take boat trips on the canals<\/strong> \u2013 a\n“must”, in my opinion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The village is full of\nposters\/banners\/plaques put on people’s house walls or fences, with offers for\nboat trips. And the resorts have offers for their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
