Shall\nwe do a survey? I bet 90% of those who go to Verona go to look for Juliet’s balcony<\/strong> first. I did the same,\nwhy should I deny it? That was my first stop when I first arrived in Verona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who has\nnot read or at least heard of “Romeo and Juliet”, the romantic\ntragedy of William Shakespeare… The story of two lovers whose love does not\ntake into account the enmity between their families, a story that,\nunfortunately, does not have the happy ending from the Hollywood movies. Now,\nthe man set out to write a tragedy, don’t blame him, because he also gave us\nmany comedies J.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the\nwhole planet, Romeo & Juliet = Love = Verona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VERONA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

So far\nI have been to Verona three times and it has always been like a short train\nride from Venice or on the way to Lago di Garda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\nare so many things to be seen in this city and I’ve always seen them on the\nrun. Or I didn’t see them at all\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spectacular Arena<\/strong> in Verona, located in the lively center of the city, is the best preserved Roman amphitheater! Finished in the year 30, man, you cannot believe how this amphitheater can look like after so many centuries, not to mention an earthquake in the 12th century, which destroyed part of its outer ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is\nthe third largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire, after the Arena in Capua\n(near Naples) and the Colosseum in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it\nwas inaugurated, it had a capacity of 20,000 seats \u2013 about as much as the\nentire population of Verona in Roman times!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
